Teacher A is a senior middle school English teacher. He emphasizes presentation of grammar points while omitting the grammar practice activities in the text book. According to how he thinks, activities are not important because they are not the main content of the College Entrance Examination. For example, in the reading part of each unit in the textbook, he just explains new words, phrases and grammar. Which aspects of teaching do you think Teacher A neglects in his lessons, and how do you think he can improve?
Teaching content is the basis of teaching activities and is the main target for the students to understand. Teaching activities cannot be carried out without teaching content. To ensure the cultivation of high quality talents, the determination of teaching content, the design of curriculum plans and contents, the compilation of textbooks, should all conform with the teaching goal.
And in classrooms, teachers need to bring their and students' initiative into full play, and handle teaching content flexibly to facilitate students' understanding.
