What exactly is a healthy diet? With all the ridiculous scams and misinformation out there, how do you determine what a healthy diet is? You have to start with the basics. It is that simple. And the basics begin with figuring out what is real food and what is not. Think of your body as the finely tuned machine that it is and then ask yourself, what kind of fuel you think you should put in it.
Brainstorm your ideas on the following questions.

(1)Have you had any western-style food? How do you like it?

(2 )How different is western food from Chinese food? Which do you prefer? Do you think western food

has a large market in China nowadays?

Hint: the information should include the following aspects:

    The difference in taste, way of cooking and way of serving.

    The difference in nutritional balance.

    The reasons for your preference.

    Whether western food is popular in China and why.

(3)Do you pay attention to the balance of food nutrition? What do you do to keep the balance?

Hint: the information should include the following aspects:

    Your eating habits.

    Your way to keep the nutritional balance.

This unit includes two article about food and people’s eating habit. Passage one is about people’s diets. Our diets are changing and people are more and more concerned about the absorption of nutrients. People are eager to have a healthy diet. Passage two puts forward a new concept, food personalities. Through the kinds of food people like to eat, it is more likely to know the person’s personality.
