My reflection on college life

A dream always came to my mind. In the dream, I came back to my childhood. I was tugging at my father’s coat and listened to him,“the life is colorful” he said. As I looked up at him, I saw a look of hope in his eyes that brought me closer to him than I had ever in my life. It not only caters to my inward yearning for success, but also emphasizes the inseparability of the process and the result.

In my 21 years of life, there have been many things. University days are the best part of them. I can never forget the days when I entered my university. Everything was new and strange, especially its learning atmosphere made a strong impression on me.

I passed through an arduous military training. When we were standing straight motionless as military posture, the corporal commanded me to run around the playground till his next order for I just shrugged. I felt wronged the moment I had to obey the order. I had never been on such a wrongful occasion in the past. My peace of mind is trouble by the depressing sense that I pondered it interminably. with as much control as I could muster, “hold on to the last” I would merely pause to speak to myself and completely finished the command. This experience filled me with a sudden peace and lightness of heart I had not known in months. Military training is not a particular experience, but a symbol, a token of some sort. Since then, I get absolutely absorbed in my studies. The teachers easily arouse my insatiable desire to take in knowledge as much as I can. Through my own efforts and thanks to my teachers' guidance, I made remarkable progress. Now I have benefited a lot from lectures and many other academic reports. As somebody says college education is the best passport to succeed, I come to realize how much it has shaped me.

In the course of my further study, I have amassed the driving force for the future and enriched my soul. I got out of the ivory tower and entered the real world. An English school offered me a part-time job as a teacher. This experience indicated: to be valuable to society as well as to find my place, I have to get some actual experiences and the ability to function well in the most challenging situation. The true meaning of success entails a combination of both the process and the satisfactory result of an endeavor.

Looking back upon the old days, Sometimes the difficulty likes a barrier that should have crumbled away. A little more persistence and we would have been ideals. Everyone needs to be tough to survive in a society full of competition as a youngster of new generation who meet the near future while facing challenges and fortunes. In some sense, college life points a direction out to me how to seek after ideal. Only in this way can we contribute more to a rosy world of the new century.

I can realize it will be a real precious and lasting course while I am struggling to reach the goal. Now here I am. No matter how I come out, I would contribute my individual and unique colors to create a more diverse universe. I do hope everybody can become the backbone of our nation and make great contributions to society!
