This film is a story about New Yoke teenage been accused of killing his father. The court has strongly proves and witnesses. There is no doubt that he will be sentenced to death penalty of first-degree murder. When the twelve juries finally decide whether the youth should be the punishment of death, there are 11 jurors found guilty, only one person feels that something might otherwise other reasons. He insisted to raise an objection, with patience and mechanism of the thinking and judgment to persuade other one juror change original intention, and then eventually this case almost has become a crucial decision overturned.

The theme of film of is American jury this “holy organization” playing an important role of judicial decisions. The jurors are chosen randomly. They are in different color and different culture degree, and have different occupation. They are independent of government, independent of the judicial system, independent of any political power. This is the twelve to last to adjudicate cases.

Each of them has their own characteristic. Number eight absolutely leave a deep impression on me. He is the only person who insists that the boy is not guilty at first. But number nine is my favorite one. He is the first one to change his view. He is very attentive and good at observation. When number eight take out the knife which is extremely similar to lethal weapon, he put out the first doubt. The second doubt is that number nine find that number four has been rubbing his noise all the time.

Both the two doubt are the key to this case and number nine find them. I admire the carefulness and observation of number nine very much.
