What is the structure of the passage?

Answer:

The whole passage can be divided into two parts.

I.The introduction: two types of human needs—survival and psychological (paras. 1-3)

II. The body: analysis of psychological needs—power, freedom, love and fun (paras. 4-14)

A. The need of power (paras. 4-9)

1. Nature of power as a genetic need (paras. 4-6)

2. The all-pervasive effect of power (paras. 7-9)

B. The other psychological needs (paras. 10-14)

1 Meaning of freedom and its conflict with power and belonging (para. 10)
